Steel Bauer Coupling is a flexible coupling widely used in industrial transmission. It is mainly made of metal (usually steel). Its core element is a group of curved metal elements (similar to the ball ring structure), which compensates the deviation between the connected shafts through its own elastic deformation. It has both high torque transmission capacity and good deviation compensation characteristics.

Zero backlash transmission: Metal elastic elements provide torsional rigidity to ensure that the master and slave shafts maintain precise synchronization and gap-free when starting, braking or reversing, which is suitable for occasions that require precise positioning or fast response.
Good deviation compensation capability:
Angular deviation: Effectively compensates for angular misalignment (angular offset) between the two shafts.
Radial deviation: Effectively compensates for parallel offset between the two axis lines.
Axial deviation: Allows the shaft to produce a certain axial movement during operation.
Adjustable torsional stiffness: Components are usually available in different grades or specifications to obtain the required torsional stiffness and vibration damping characteristics.
Maintenance-free: Metal components do not require lubrication, and the overall structural design is sturdy and requires little routine maintenance.
Compact structure: Compared with some other types of couplings, Steel Bauer couplings can transmit large torques in a relatively small space.
Balanceable characteristics: After precision machining and dynamic balancing, they are suitable for high speed operation.
However, it should be noted that Steel Bauer Coupling also has some limitations: Compared with elastomeric couplings, its ability to absorb vibration and shock is relatively limited, and the initial cost is usually higher. The ability to compensate for extremely large angular deviations is not as good as types such as universal joints.
