What is a Type F camlock?

2023-12-25

A Type F camlock, also known as a cam and groove coupling, is a type of quick connect/disconnect coupling used in various industries for fluid transfer. Camlock fittings are commonly used in applications where hoses and pipes need to be connected and disconnected quickly and efficiently.

The Type F camlock has a male adapter with a cam arm and a female coupler with a recess and cam arm. To connect them, you insert the male adapter into the female coupler and then close the cam arms to create a secure and leak-proof connection. The cam arms are usually operated manually, and they provide a quick and easy way to connect or disconnect hoses and pipes.

Camlock fittings come in different types (A, B, C, D, E, F, and DC), each with its own specifications and applications. The Type F camlock is often used in applications where the connection needs to be secure, but frequent and rapid connections and disconnections are required.

These fittings are commonly used in industries such as agriculture, petroleum, chemicals, and manufacturing, where the efficient transfer of liquids or powders is essential. It's important to choose the right type of camlock fitting based on the specific requirements of the application.
